On an Empty Stomach!
Join us for the 30 Hour Famine Friday, February 19-Saturday, February 20 to raise awareness about hunger and to raise funds to feed children. Go without food for 30 hours so others may eat!
Overview of events:
Friday-
Meet at UNPC at 6 pm and depart for St. Helen's, Newbury for a free performance of Tetelestai.
Return to UNPC by 11 pm. Play games, watch movies or go to sleep!
Saturday-
Depart for service at Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron at 8:15 am.
Return to UNPC by 12:30 pm. From 1-3 pm participate in games and activities that teach us about hunger and about this year's featured country, Ethiopia.
3-5 pm is free to socialize or study.
Grand Silence will be observed from 4-5 pm.
Break your fast at the 5:30 pm Mass.
After Mass hang around for a light supper (vegetarian options will be available). Friends and family welcome; just let Carmen know how many persons to expect.
